Toyota of newnan has a wide selection of exceptional pre-owned vehicles to choose from, including this 2017 ford escape. This vehicle is loaded with great features, plus it comes with the carfax buyback guarantee. Also surprising is how well the escape responds and handles -- as if it were a sport wagon. In terms of tech features, between the sync 3 infotainment system, an active park assist system and active-safety features like blis, the escape stands far apart from more plainly presented crossover wagons. 2001 ford excursion review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. As big as a bus, but best used as a tow truck. introductionford's gargantuan sport-utility is a wonderfully stable platform for towing heavy trailers and can at the same time carry a truckload of fishermen. It rides fairly well for a heavy-duty truck and it's luxurious and comfortable. For those who want to tow trailers up to 10,000 pounds, the excursion is a good alternative to a pickup with a cap.  the ford excursion should not, however, be considered as an alternative to a minivan. It's far too thirsty, and its size and design make for poor maneuverability and handling when compared with minivans and light-duty suvs. lineupford excursion comes in two trim levels: xlt and limited.  xlts come with a nice cloth interior with comfortable seats that offer good support for long drives and a high level of standard equipment.  limited trim adds leather and a few more goodies that are optional on the xlt. More standard equipment is added to the limited models for 2001, including outside mirrors with integrated turn signals, fog lamps integrated in the front bumpers, and upgraded leather seating surfaces.  three engines are available: a v8, a v10, and a turbocharged diesel. The base xlt 4x2 retails for $34,245. We drove a $37,560 xlt 4x4 with the v10. The diesel adds about $4,000 to the bottom line. walkaroundbased on ford's super duty f-series pickup trucks, the excursion is more than seven inches longer than the chevrolet suburban, the former suv heavyweight. Inside the excursion is a comfortable interior. The dash is attractive and well designed and all of the controls are easy to find and operate.  excursion's rear cargo doors are split three ways. The rear doors are half height, like dutch doors. It generates 310 horsepower and 425 foot-pounds of torque. A 5. 4-liter v8 is available as a no-cost option, but few will be built; it puts out 255 horsepower and 350 foot-pounds of torque. Optional $60 trailer mirrors feature little convex mirrors at the bottom that eliminate blind spots. Ford says the class iv receiver hitch, which comes standard, is designed to prevent smaller cars from going underneath the rear bumper, while a specially designed blockerbeam is designed to accomplish the same goal up front. interiorthe excursion comes with a nicely designed interior. Six adults can ride in comfort with 48 cubic feet of cargo space left behind them. Removing the third-row seat is easy: flip the seatback forward, yank a bar at the foot of the seat and pull the seat toward the rear of the vehicle; it glides along on rollers. The seat weighs 75 pounds, but in short order i pulled it out and threw it into the back of another suv on a cold montana morning.  set up as a two-seater, the excursion can carry an outlandish amount of cargo. A sheet of plywood slides in easy and lays flat on the floor. Two people could sleep in comfort on the huge, flat cargo area. Believe it or not, we managed to fill an excursion. We were finishing up a three-day float down oregon's deschutes river. He quickly stuffed all of the supplies from base camp and enough fishing equipment for eight people inside. When he was done stuffing, only seating for two remained and the rear-view mirror was rendered useless. Granted, he could have packed more efficiently, but he was grateful for such a large storage container. After reorganizing the equipment and putting some of it into another vehicle, six of us piled into the excursion and made the long trip back to the portland area. Cruising along steadily with this load, the excursion demonstrated its virtues of size, stability and power. It's smooth and quiet. The v10 is a delightful engine. It produces 310 horsepower and can propel the excursion along the interstate at high rates of speed. The v10 generates a very impressive 425 foot-pounds of torque at 3250 rpm. But an excursion 4x4 weighs about 7,200-pounds, so its acceleration performance at high altitudes seems no better than an explorer or expedition. Still, it had no trouble passing other vehicles on two-lane roads outside yellowstone national park. It seems unaffected by high altitude and i was amazed at its ability to accelerate past slower cars on two-lane roads. Think of it as an economical engine for utility companies in the flatlands.  while the 4x2 comes with ford's twin i-beam front suspension and coil springs, the 4x4 uses a solid front axle and leaf springs. Differences in ride and handling between the two are surprisingly subtle. The 4x4 rides and handles superbly, tackling corners with confidence and offering good grip on dirt roads. It does not offer the ride sophistication of the newest generation suburban and yukon xl 1500-series models, however. Strong crosswinds in the madison river valley and an 18-wheeler going in the opposite direction had little effect on the excursion at highway speeds.  its long wheelbase means the excursion is not a serious off-road vehicle. The excursion does not offer a system like gm's autotrac, which distributes torque front to rear automatically for slushy, inconsistent conditions. I like overkill when towing long distances through bad weather and the excursion should pull a 6,000-pound trailer better than an expedition. Unlike most suvs, all excursions come with d-load range light-truck tires, lt265/75r-16d. Supremely stable, it feels safe and secure on the open highway. Bucket Seats✔ Cloth Interior

2013 ford escape review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. All-new, featuring fuel-efficient ecoboost engines. introductionthe 2013 ford escape is a total redesign that moves the top-selling compact suv into the times, with high-tech small engines, a smooth 6-speed transmission, aerodynamic front styling, and electronic wizardry. Ford claims 11 features exclusive to the escape in the compact suv class, everything from a capless fuel nozzle to torque vectoring control, which helps the escape corner more securely.  gas prices have fueled the compact suv market (in europe it's quadrupled in the last decade), so this is a class that's important to ford's ongoing rebound, and they've pulled out all the stops to make the escape good.  fuel mileage varies from an epa-estimated 23 city/33 highway mpg with the 1. 6-liter front-wheel drive escape to 21/28 mpg with the 2. 0-liter all-wheel drive. We drove both versions and fell below those marks, however, averaging 22. 7 mpg in the 1. 6-liter and 19. 7 mpg in the 2. 0-liter, while driving them spiritedly. That's still better than a comparably equipped honda cr-v or toyota rav4, and good enough that the escape hybrid has been abandoned.  the 2013 escape lineup features three engines, including the returning tried-and-true 2. 5-liter, less powerful and efficient but with a lower msrp than the new ecoboost engines. There's a 1. 6-liter making 178 horsepower and 2. 0-liter making 240 hp, both twin-turbos with direct injection and twin independent variable camshaft timing (ti-vct), although having different designs.  this review is a tale of two escapes, because we found the 1. 6-liter fwd to feel completely different from the 2. 0-liter awd. The 1. 6 is quick, lively and visceral, a blast to drive. The 2. 0-liter awd feels more grownup, civilized, solid, heavy. The chassis is 40 percent stiffer, and the ride is smooth. The interior materials are soft, and the plastic high quality. Rear legroom is decent, at 36. 8 inches, and rear climate control is standard in all but the base s model. There's excellent cargo space, 68. 1 cubic feet behind the first row and 34. 3 cubic feet behind the second row, and the standard 60/40 rear seat folds flat wonderfully fast, with one lever.  the nose of the new 2013 escape is distinctive, sort of aero stubby, with the blue oval emblem in its wide narrow grille to say it's a ford. Although the escape emulates its big brother the explorer suv, its new nose more resembles its little brother the focus hatchback. The hood has nice character lines, and the headlights sweep sharply back and up into muscular wheelwells.  one clever innovation that others are already copying is an available magic release for the liftgate. The new version, as they say, is simpler and the screen is cleaner. And to be sure, we have, at times, gotten it to work for us. Last but not least, the price for the escape has actually come down. It adds ambient lighting, remote start, premium leather, hid headlamps, power liftgate, silver roofrails, backup sensor, upgraded sony sound system with hd radio, and 19-inch painted alloy wheels.  standard safety equipment includes advancetrac traction and stability control with roll stability control, curve control, torque vectoring control, two-stage frontal airbags, driver knee airbag, side airbags, abs with brake assist, tire pressure monitor. walkaroundthere's no mistaking that the 2013 escape is a new car, and it's got the blue oval in its wide narrow grille to say it's a ford. Its nose is more like little sister focus, rather than big brother explorer. Aero and almost stubby, looking like it's meant for the business of efficient hauling. Character lines on the hood suggesting a cowl. The headlights are sharply angled under sheetmetal speed lines like eyebrows, and sweep back and up into the muscular wheelwells.  the bottom two-thirds of the face is a gaping black mouth in split fascia. It conceals a ford innovation, sensor-controlled shutters behind the grille that regulate air into the engine for optimum efficiency and maximum fuel mileage.  the rear end doesn't keep up with the new slick front. It looks big and bulky for the size of the car, with lines going in three directions; it's as if the sheetmetal were shaped to match the taillights, including the indent for the license plate, like an upside-down triangle with the point at bottom chopped off. The standard dual exhaust is cool with the pipes back there, but the cladding in gray looks like a big silver lump hanging out the back.  but there's something hiding under that cladding that's great. It's a first we like, and would buy.  we also like that overall on the three models, there's lots of black eggcrate and not so much chrome. Don't like so much the gray or black plastic cladding that surrounds every model. The 19-inch alloy wheels try way too hard to look out there, while the steel 17s on the base se are the least ugly. interiorthe rugged fabric seats are the best! And since the available myfordtouch remains problematic (we'll get to that), those excellent seats open the door to happy purchase of the s model. Gauges are clean and attractive with pretty blue needles. Unlike the expensive jaguar, ford's rich former sibling, there are actual fuel and temperature gauges. There's a small rectangular window for information, scrolled through using arrows and a dial on the steering wheel, like all fords, and like jaguar, the shared switchgear remains.  the turn signal sound is a classy jaguar-like dink dink dink. Great job, there.  a small shift lever is dropped down out of the way. There's a selectshift button on the side of the lever, controlling manual operation of the automatic transmission. We've complained about this same button on the mustang Climate Control✔ Cruise Control✔ Remote Start✔ Alloy Wheels

2010 ford expedition review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. A standard among full-size suvs. introductionthe ford expedition is a full-size sport-utility vehicle. It seats up to eight people, hauls a mountain of gear, and tows moderately heavy trailers. The second- and third-row seats fold flat to create a useful rear cargo area. That's nice on long drives.  changes for 2010 are minimal. There is the mykey programmable vehicle key, the availability of the sync voice-activated communications and entertainment system, three new colors, and trailer sway control is standard. Expedition was last redesigned for 2007.  with its combination of utility, a smooth, stable ride and a pleasant interior, the ford expedition is a fine choice for families that tow or take driving vacations.  the ford expedition comes in two lengths, the standard model with a 119-inch wheelbase, and the expedition el with its 131-inch wheelbase. Every expedition is powered by a single-overhead-cam 5. 4-liter v8 rated at 310 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard equipment. A leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel, front and rear air conditioning with rear controls, remote keyless entry, automatic headlights, alarm, an am/fm/cd stereo with mp3 player connectivity and rear controls, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, overhead console, and illuminated visors are also part of the package. Exterior standard equipment features 265/70r17 tires on alloy wheels, running boards, roof rails, fog lights, power-adjustable heated outside mirrors, a rear liftgate with flip-up glass and a rear defroster/wiper/washer system, and a keyless entry keypad.  the expedition xlt el 38,610) and xlt el 4wd 41,510) are equipped the same as standard wheelbase versions, except they come with a split-folding third-row seat and a conversation mirror.  options for xlt models include third-row bench seat 875) or power-operated third-row bench seat 1,370), leather captain's chairs 1,295), a heavy-duty towing package 395), sirius satellite radio 195), rear-seat entertainment 1,295), and a power moonroof 995). A convenience package 895) includes a reverse-sensing system, power rear quarter windows, universal garage-door opener, six-disc cd changer, and power-adjustable pedals.  the expedition eddie bauer 40,890) and eddie bauer 4wd 43,790) are trimmed as outdoor adventure vehicles and are distinguished by a longer list of convenience features as standard equipment, notably the expedition's unique power-folding split third-row seat. Other standard features include leather upholstery, 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, memory for the mirrors and driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, a premium sound system with six-disc cd changer, trip computer, conversation mirror, mirror-mounted turn signals, power-adjustable pedals, and protective cladding for the lower body panels. The eddie bauer el 43,075) and eddie bauer el 4wd 45,970) are equipped, basically, like the standard-wheelbase versions.  options for eddie bauer models over and above those of the xlt include heated and cooled front seats 625), power running boards 995), a navigation system 1,995), second-row captain's chairs 795), and air suspension 485).  the expedition limited 42,660) and limited 4wd 45,560) add heated and cooled front seats, 10-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, universal garage-door opener, power rear quarter windows, and 255/70r18 tires on chrome alloy wheels. The limited el 45,310) and limited el 4wd 48,210) are equipped the same.  the expedition king ranch 45,190) and king ranch 4wd 48,090) have upgraded chaparral leather upholstery, king ranch badging, and gold exterior accents. The leather also trims the center console lid, steering wheel and door panels, while wood trim can be found on the center console, shifter handle and instrument panel. King ranch el 47,840) and king ranch 4wd el 50,740) have the same features.  safety equipment includes front airbags, torso-protecting front side airbags, three-row head-protecting side-curtain airbags with rollover deployment, tire-pressure monitor, anti-lock brakes (abs) with brake assist, and advancetrac electronic stability control with roll stability control. A rear obstacle detection system is standard on limited and king ranch, and optional on eddie bauer. Trailer sway control is standard. walkaroundthe ford expedition is a truck and it doesn't pretend to be anything else. This is a good identity to have, because ford trucks continue to have an outstanding reputation for utility, reliability and durability.  both the long and regular-length versions of the expedition use many of the components from the ford f-150 pickup. However, the expedition features independent rear suspension, which improves driving precision, ride comfort, and rear-seat roominess.  this third-generation expedition features a three-bar grille, large headlights, and a domed hood that combine to deliver a look that's both distinctive and respectable. There are several different wheel designs, including 20-inchers with a chrome finish.  expedition el models stretch the wheelbase to 131 inches. Overall, the el measures 14. 8 inches longer than the standard expedition, and that adds 22 cubic feet of cargo volume. As a result, crowded parking lots can be challenging. The expedition has a turning circle of nearly 41 feet, while the el requires 44 feet.  they're also heavy, as even the base 2wd expedition weighs almost 6,000 pounds, and a loaded el with 4wd will be comfortably over that.  the king ranch model can be identified by its gold exterior accents and unique wheel design.  the expedition comes with running boards as standard equipment. Power retractable running boards that deploy when the doors are opened are optional. Some prefer no running boards, but that doesn't appear to be an option. interiorthe ford expedition features a rich blend of finishes, textures and color. Indeed, a king ranch is the best representation of modern american-style luxury within ford's lineup. Wood, chrome and leather make the expedition an inviting place to spend a day on the road. Leather-upholstered examples are available with a heating/cooling feature that makes them a more comfortable companion in winter and summer. Generous driver's-seat travel helps accommodate taller drivers, and it's a perfect match for the expedition's movable pedals, so a wide range of sizes of drivers can sit comfortably.  the second seating row reflects ford's thoughtful approach to passenger comfort: the standard 40/20/40 bench seat incorporates a center section that slides, bringing a child seat within easier reach of front-seat passengers. Optional second-row captain's chairs with a center-aisle pass-through can be substituted for adult-rated comfort.  packaging advantages afforded by the expedition's independent rear suspension enable the third-row seat to deliver more comfort for adults compared to the accommodations provided by the chevy tahoe. In fact, third-row room is among the best of any suv, though three adults won't want to sit in the back for long. The high ride height also makes getting in and out a task for children.  the expedition's liftgate with its flip-up glass hatch makes access to the cargo area very easy. The expedition's second- and third-row bench-type seats fold flat into the cargo floor, affording a long cargo area that can be easily loaded. In this regard, the expedition is much better designed than gm's large suvs. The expedition is also available with an optional power-folding third-row seat and electronically powered liftgate to make it even easier to load cargo. However, the seat cushions of the second- and third-row seats are a little slim in order to allow the seats to fold properly.  the expedition is about more than convenience. A dvd-based navigation system with sizable 6. 5-inch screen is available as an option.
